There are many causes of shoulder pain. Whether the issue is coming from the rotator cuff, the bursa, or the shoulder joint itself, the early goals of rehabilitation are often very similar — improving strength and control within the rotator cuff muscles.

In this video, I will guide you through some simple beginner-level shoulder strengthening exercises designed to help with shoulder impingement and rotator cuff injuries. These exercises can help improve shoulder stability, reduce pain, and support your recovery.

These would be classed as intermediate shoulder exercises and would generally be recommended at roughly 4-6 weeks post injury. This is a rough guide and in severe cases you may not be able to do these exercises until 12 weeks or later. The key is to work within pain throughout and not overexert yourself as this generally leads to delaying recovery.
