2003-2007

Key Career Milestones

Birmingham City Football Club

During this time, I worked within the Academy, gaining extensive experience in diagnosing and managing paediatric conditions. I was subsequently promoted to the reserve team and went on to spend three seasons working with the first team. This invaluable experience sets me apart, allowing me to provide a higher level of care when treating sports injuries.

2013-2017

Extended Scope Practitioner / APP 

During this time, I worked within the spinal team at NBT, where I regularly attended multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings alongside spinal surgeons to discuss complex cases and contribute to clinical decision-making. I was also responsible for arranging and interpreting diagnostic imaging to support the assessment and management of spinal pathology.

Alongside this role, I worked as an Advanced Practitioner within the peripheral joint team and pain clinic service. It was here that I developed a strong foundation in pain management,

2017-Present

General Practice / Advanced Practitioner 

During my time in general practice, I significantly expanded both my scope of practice and clinical skill set, including injection therapy, independent prescribing, and the management of minor illness. I now perform approximately 400–500 injection procedures each year, reflecting a high level of experience and clinical competence.

My practice has been further developed through Master’s-level training and the benefit of excellent mentorship within general practice. This combination of advanced education and hands-on experience enables me to deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based care tailored to each individual patient.

2000-2003

Bsc (hons) Physiotherpay 

Birmingham University 

It was during this period my career excelled as, I had acquired qualifications to that of a standard you would expect form a doctor. The qualifications also gave me the tools to offer a wide range of treatment interventions 

2005-2005

Qualified in Acupuncture 

AACP 

I have been qualified in Acupuncture for over 20 years. In 2022, I led a piolt study acupuncture service in General practice which revealed positive results amongst the group of patients involved. 

2016-2019

Injection Therapy & Non-medical prescribing  University of Coventry 

It was during this period my career excelled as, I had acquired qualifications to that of a standard you would expect form a doctor. The qualifications also gave me the tools to offer a wide range of treatment interventions 

2016-2019

Advanced Practice Maters UWE 

During this period I acquired 160 masters module credits in Advanced practice. Aspects of the course has enabled me to extend my scope of practice to a high standard of care. The courses included, Research, leadership, PACR, PADRIP. These are the skills that have enabled me to safely and competently extend my scope of practice into an advanced practitioner. 

Daniel Taylor also works 1 day a week at Kennedy way surgery in Yate and heads up an injection clinic at Air Balloon Surgery in Hanham Bristol.
